Obituary of Kathryn Robinson

Kathryn (Kathy) Aleen Robinson was born on May 10, 1939 in Luverne, MN, daughter of Alvin and Lida Hoime from Kenneth, MN, who preceded her in death. Kathy quietly passed away at the age of 71 on Friday, March 18, 2011 in her current home in Tulsa, OK with loving family around her. Kathy was proud of growing up on their farm along with her 5 sisters and twin brother. She attended a country school that had eight grades in one classroom. She graduated from Luverne High School, MN and then continued her education at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. There she met and married Richard Robinson on Dec. 30, 1961. They moved to Rapid City, SD in 1973 with their 3 children, Shelly, Mike and Cindy. Kathy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, volunteering and working at her Lutheran churches, music, rides in the Black Hills, and being out in the sunshine. She is survived by her husband, Richard Robinson; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Mike Easley, granddaughters Madison and Miklynne Easley; son, Mike Robinson; daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Greg Andrew; granddaughter, Carin and grandsons, Connor and Cole; her twin brother, Kenny Hoime (MN), 5 sisters, Lorraine Olson (MN), Marilyn Ode (SD), Eunice Minick (PA), Judy Erickson (SD) and Marcia Odenbach (MN). The family will recieve friends in Tulsa at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria on Monday from 5 PM to 7 PM. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm, on Thursday, March 24, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD. Services will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 909 West 33rd Street, Sioux Falls, SD. Pastor Heidi Binstock will be officiating. Immediately after the service you are invited to join the family for a light snack followed by the burial. She will be buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
