Cody Myrick Sloan was born July 2, 1991 in Tulsa, OK to Randy Wayne Sloan and Tracy Tyler (Phillips) Pelizzoni. He passed from this life surrounded with the love of family and friends on March 28, 2011 at the age of 19 after a long battle with cystic fibrosis. Cody's passion for the outdoors included hunting, fishing, boating, camping and his motorcycle. He will be remembered for his quick wit, love of life and his valiant fight against cystic fibrosis. Cody is survived by his mother, Tracy Phillips of Tulsa; his father & step-mother, Randy & Sondra Sloan of Mannford, OK; his brothers, Landon & Brennan Sloan of Mannford, OK; his brother in spirit, Colton Rawlings Phillips of Berryhill, OK; his grandparents, Mrs. Alex Phillips of Tulsa, Johnny & Martha Sloan of Mannford; a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Cody's memory to C.F. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.
