Obituary of Wilma Helscel

Wilma Jean (Foster) Helscel was born on September 3, 1925 in Okemah, OK to George and Marie (Clay) Foster. Wilma passed from this life at the age of 85, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Wilma was a graduate of Jenks High School and was Valedictorian of her class. She was a longtime resident of Kiefer, OK and a longtime member of Jenks Bethel Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement she worked for Moulder-Oldham Company for 27 years as a bookkeeper. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, of 52 years, Frank Gordon Helscel in 1995 and a sister, Clara Mae Fransisco. She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Al Jacks, of Jenks, OK and Sherry and Danny Sappington, of Pryor, OK; 2 sisters, Kay Cooper, of Kiefer, OK and Sue Wallace, of Sapulpa, OK; 2 brothers, George Foster, of Tulsa, OK and Frank Foster, of Jenks, OK; 2 grandsons, Keith Daniel Sappington and Kevin Wayne Sappington, both of Pryor, OK and 4 great grandchildren, Beau Daniel Sappington, of Pryor, OK, Kaitlynn Paige Sappington and Ronnie Alan Sappington, both of Jenks, OK and Karli Lynn Sappington, of Pryor, OK. Wilma loved being with her family and friends. She loved her home and working in her yard with her flowers and working crossword puzzles was her hobby.
