Calvin Eugene Jacobs was born April 13, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of John and Audrey Doris (Lawson) Jacobs, Jr.. He completed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 54. Calvin was raised in Tulsa where he graduated from Nathan Hale High School. He worked for Sunbelt Fire Protection where he was a pipefitter. Calvin enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and golfing. Calvin also enjoyed cooking on the charcoal grill for his family. He was preceded in death by his father, John Jacobs, Jr.. He is survived by his partner, Linda Wells; his mother, Mrs. John (Audrey) Jacobs, Jr. of Tulsa; his son Zac Shaw; his step-daughter, Carlisa Hoover; his sister, Vivian Rhatigan of Jenks, OK; his brother, Ivan Jacobs of Tulsa; and two Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 on Monday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in the Airport Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Hill cemetery, Council Hill, Oklahoma. The family asks that memorials be made to the Hometown Hospice, 804 S. Main, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
