Obituary of Ralph Wille

Ralph A. Wille died peacefully Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Tulsa. He was born in Mt. Prospect, Ill on September 3, 1918. His family included two sisters and three brothers. Although his older sister has passed away, all of his other siblings (including his identical twin) are still living in Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife Marion of 60 years in 2000. He operated a family owned lumber and hardware retail business in Illinois until he moved to Oklahoma at age 57 to be with his family. He then started his second career in management with the Handy Dan Corporation where he worked until age 70. At that time he started his third career with Garbe's in Tulsa where he worked until age 89. He served his hometown as a volunteer fireman for over 20 years. He loved sports and participated extensively as a young man. He was a faithful servant of the Lord serving as an Elder at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tulsa for over 30 years.
He is survived by his two sons Ralph Wille Jr. (wife Dianna) and Michael Wille (wife Karen) all of Tulsa, five grandchildren - Dawn Wenzl (Albuquerque NM), Lisa Myers (Mounds, OK), Christopher Wille (Lantana TX), Elizabeth Pigg (Richardson TX) and Brent Wille (Dallas TX) and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Ralph will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in a private family committal. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Sojourn Hospice, 9910 East 42nd Street, Tulsa, OK 74146.
