Norma Minor Routsong was born on May 19, 1924 in Moberly, MO to Joshua and Maude (Colley) Minor. Norma passed from this life in Wichita, KS on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the age of 87. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and "G.G.". Norma was devoted to her husband's medical practice serving as a nurse assistant, receptionist, office manager and bookkeeper. She also supported the Osteopathic Medical profession serving as president of the auxiliaries to the Oklahoma and American Osteopathic Associations. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She loved reading; especially biographies as well as listening to operas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Routsong, D.O. in 2003. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Elaine Routsong, of Rogers, AR and Randy and Gail Routsong, of Wichita, KS; 4 grandchildren, Marc Routsong and wife, Tracy, Karen Routsong, Jake Routsong and Nicole Oldana and husband, T. J. and 3 great grandchildren, Tori Routsong, Nate Routsong, and Mia Oldana. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Tuesday Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Graveside service Noon Wednesday Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oklahoma Educational Foundation for Osteopathic Medicine, Student Activity Fund, 4848 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105.
