Obituary of Evva Benton

Evva Lorene (Perkins) Benton passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, at the age of 92. She was born on July 10, 1918 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Anna Maria and Charles Earl Perkins. Her husband of fifty years, Robert, preceded her in death in 1996. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 24, at 10:00 a.m., in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with Rev. Steve Brant officiating assisted by Rev. Sharon Fletcher-Taylor. Evva was member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church where she enjoyed quilting with members of the "Piecemakers". She has resided at Oklahoma Methodist Manor during the last three and a half years. Survivors include step-daughter, Donna Buchynsky of Pennsylvania, sister, Joan Graves and her husband Lewis, a brother, Raymond Perkins all of Tulsa, as well as six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133, or to St. Francis Hospice, 6600 S. Yale, Suite 350, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136.
