Obituary of Nancy Rice

Nancy Duncan Rice was born in Houston, TX on May 29, 1935 to Faye and George Duncan and was a fifth generation Texan. She passed away at home on Monday, July 4th, 2011 with her family by her side.
Survived by daughter, Kelly Rice of Portland, OR, son Glen, daughter-in-law Mary T. and grandson Jacob Rice of Tulsa.
Nancy graduated from the University of Texas in 1958 and later lived in Louisiana and Iowa before settling in Tulsa in 1973. Nancy was a member of the Pi Phi Sorority at University of Texas and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. Nancy taught elementary school in south Texas before meeting her future husband, Glen Rice, Sr. of Beaumont, TX. Nancy was on the YWCA board of Tulsa and was an avid tennis player; she loved to read and play bridge. Best of all she was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by her family.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Parish on Wednesday, July 13th at 11:00 am, 501 S. Cincinnati, Tulsa, OK 74103.
