Obituary of Mary Wright

Mary Louise Wright was born on April 27, 1931 in Tulsa, OK to Arthur and Hazel (Williams) Knight. Mary passed from this life on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the age of 80. She was born in Tulsa, OK and lived here all of her life. She married Luther Wright on September 7, 1946. They had 6 children. Mary's life revolved around her love for children. She worked at several church nurseries around Tulsa and operated a home daycare until her health began to deteriorate. During the last 7 years of Mary's life she was stricken with numerous health issues. But even on her worst days, her face would light up when her grandchildren or great grandchildren came for a visit. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Wright, her daughter, Sharon Lee Bennett, her brother, Junior Knight, her sister, Rose Harsen and her son-in-law, Dean Galutza, Sr. She is survived by 3 daughters, Marilyn and her husband Ron Berry of Catoosa, OK, Patsy Galutza, of Owasso, OK and Cherryl and her husband Tracy Mosley of Tulsa, OK; and 2 sons, Rob and his wife Jo Lynn Wright, of Owasso, OK and Gary and his wife Sherrie Wright, of Catoosa, OK; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family would like to recognize Family Care Hospice for their care and compassion. The nurses and caregivers truly treated Mary like family; special thanks to Alyssa who stood by her until the end.
