Obituary of Norma Scaggs

Norma Marie Scaggs passed from this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the age of 98. Norma was born on December 7, 1912 in Bixby, Oklahoma to Cal and Rosa Fleetwood. Norma was a lifelong homemaker, loving daughter, wife, aunt, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Norma was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church Tulsa since 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, sons Melvin and Steve, brothers Jared and Isaac, sisters Dolly and Della, granddaughter Katherine and grandson Christopher. She is survived by her niece, Mable Moore and husband Ross of Mounds, OK, niece Betty and husband Alfred Mares of Englewood, CO, grandchildren Alayne Rattigan of Nebraska, Ellen Sinor and husband Allen of The Woodlands, TX, Travis Scaggs, Julie Scaggs of Tulsa, OK, Christy Scaggs Blunt of Wylie, TX and Trent Scaggs and wife Ronda of Yukon, OK; she has 10 surviving great grandchildren: Jeanette, Stephanie, Joseph, Micah, Jochem, Conner, Shelby, Sebastian, Blake and Abigail . The family would like to recognize the loving care of Sojourn Hospice, especially nurse Janie, and the Rev. Susanne Methven for her loving spiritual care. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 St. John's Episcopal Church interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church.
