Obituary of Patricia Matthews

Leona Patricia Clark Matthews entered her eternal rest on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the age of 80. Known by Pat to all her friends, she was born in Denver Colorado January 26, 1931 to Beulah Marie Ryan and John Ryan. She attended school in Cambridge, KS. Pat had a very colorful life and she spent many hours at the Cimarron Ballroom swing dancing with Johnny Lee and Bob Wells, Hank Thompson, Cal Smith and many others of that era. She still loved listening to country Western music and watching the old reruns of her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-son, Russel Matthews and a step-daughter, Paula Matthews. Pat is survived by a step-son, Mickel and Michelle Clark and family, of Grants Pass, Oregon and a step-daughter, Ruth Ann and her family in Alabama and stepsons, Riley and Ricky Matthews of Tulsa and step-daughter, Saundra Matthews of Tulsa. She will be missed by her lifelong friends, Marie Bates, Patty Grogg and Jane Case. We also want to say a special thanks to the staff of Manorcare Nursing Home and the River Cross Hospice group for the excellent care they provided to Pat.
