Obituary of Patsy Marlene Terrell
Please share a memory of Patsy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patsy Marlene Waller Terrell was born November 2nd, 1938 in Parsons, Kansas to Chan Logan and Helen Mary (Carson) Waller. Pat was received through heavens gates on Thursday, July 31st 2014 at the age of 75.
Pat was a beloved friend, mentor, and mother to many. She was a living example of the Proverbs 31:10 “virtuous woman”. The greatest title she aspired to in this life was that of wife and mother. Pat found great joy in loving and serving her husband (Louie) of 48 years and her children Brent, Jenny, and Susan. She was most comfortable in her kitchen cooking for family and friends. Pat held firm to the belief that feeding her friends or family was more than just providing physical nourishment. It is an act of service, an expression of love, and an opportunity for her to be used of God. Besides her cooking, Pat was best known for her encouraging letters and cards that she sent to all who crossed her path. These cards could be a few simple lines or lengthy notes, but they were always inspiring and uplifting to everyone who received them. Pat considered this her ministry and her writing a divine gift used to help others.
Early in her adult life, Pat worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a phone operator. After meeting and marrying her husband Louis she became a homemaker which was her divine calling. In addition to raising their 3 children, Pat also helped Louie run their company – Terrell Heating and Air. Later in life, Pat went to work for David Livingston Missionary Foundation until she retired in 1999. After this, came her most enjoyable job of all - that of Grandma to Logan, Cass, Lawson, and Linleigh. This job included much spoiling, trips to the park, homemade goodies, and constant prayers.
Patsy was preceded in death by both of her parents, her sisters Mildred, Martha, Thelma, and her brother Chalen. She was also preceded by her husband, Louis H. Terrell who was no doubt anxiously awaiting for his sweetheart to join him. She is survived by her three children: Brent Louis Terrell and wife Kim, Jennifer Lynn Wilkie and husband Braden and Susan Marlene Bell and husband Brandon; four of the world’s most talented grandkids, Cassidy Hobbs Terrell, Logan Dale Wilkie, Lawson Josiah Wilkie, and Linleigh Adeline Wilkie. Also surviving is her sweet sister Lola Traxson , favorite nephew Jimmy Dale Enloe and his wife Carolyn, and a host of other beloved nieces and nephews.
We, her children, family, and friends take great comfort in knowing that mom has finally received her ultimate healing, has a perfect heart, was greeted by daddy and is probably cooking him his favorite meal in the finest kitchen heaven has to offer.
Pat will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday with family receiving friends from 2-4 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Spirit Life Church, 5345 S. Peoria. She will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK.
