Obituary of Jacqueline Edmonds Woolslayer

Jacqueline “Jackie” (Edmonds) Woolslayer was born October 11, 1937 in Shoals Junction, SC to John A. and Dora M. (Robinson) Edmonds. She passed from this life Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the age of 76.
Jackie was a 1956 graduate of Tulsa Central High School and attended The University of Tulsa. She was a loving wife and mother of four sons; loyal and dedicated to her family. She was a devout Christian woman who continuously blessed those around her with generosity along with a great smile and a great sense of humor. Jacqueline possessed a radiant beauty that she drew upon to make people around her happy every day. Jackie graciously served the Tulsa philanthropic community by participating in fashion shows and many other charitable events to raise money for organizations like Children’s Medical Center and March of Dimes. She was a member of the original founders of the Tulsa Center for the Physically Limited and was instrumental in the creation of The Tulsa Assistance League / Operation School Bell. Jackie will always be remembered as caring, loving, generous and spontaneous, possessing radiant beauty, an excellent sense of humor and a magnetic personality. She demonstrated unconditional love by way of example and taught us to never give up!
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Patrick Woolslayer, Robert Todd and Jonas Woolslayer, John Michael and Julie (Payne) Woolslayer, Homer Jason Woolslayer all of Tulsa. Grandchildren, Benjamin Patrick, Elizabeth Anne, Shyanne Miranda, Matthew James, Jackson Robert, John Philip and Sarah Kate Woolslayer all of Tulsa. Also surviving are her cousins, Ben Robinson, Greenville, SC, Earle Robinson, Augusta, GA, Linda Sanders, Greenwood, SC, Janice Sumner, Greenwood, SC and Imogene Biddle, Augusta, GA.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Kerr Chapel. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in Jackie’s memory to The Assistance League of Tulsa, Operation School Bell, www.altulsa.org. Ninde Funeral & Cremation – www.ninde.com
