Obituary of Donald James Trusty

Donald James Trusty was born September 14, 1928 in Georgetown, IN to Guido & Gayle (Bates) Trusty and passed from this life November 20, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 86. Don served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict, at which time he received the Bronze Star. Upon his honorable discharge he began his career in the airline industry working 36 years for Trans World Airlines (TWA) where he worked flight operations, ticketing and numerous other tasks. Don was a avid golfer, enjoying many golf courses but he particularly enjoyed playing with the seniors at Sapulpa in his last years. He was a lifelong gun enthusiast and voracious reader. He enjoyed finding new recipes and preparing them for loved ones and neighbors. The love of his life was his wife, Ann. They were constant companions and he will be sorely missed by her, his family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Betty Lantry and Jean Billingsly; and his brother, Rex Trusty. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann LaRue (Potts) Trusty; his sons, Dennis Trusty and Rex Trusty; his daughter, Beth Matherly and her husband, Dale; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
