Obituary of Dorothy Jewel Birks
Please share a memory of Dorothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dorothy Jewel Birks was a kind and generous person who lived her life with loving kindness for all. Always a hard worker, she put the same effort into perfecting an assignment at her work or growing vegetables in her garden. After retirement, she traveled the world with her husband, E. G. Birks, and spent countless hours with her grandchildren. She loved showing them how to cook the family recipes during the holidays or how to can tomatoes. The smile on her face was a genuine outpouring of love and welcome to anyone she saw. Her display of faith has taught us that she will always abide in our hearts and help us to be sincerely kind to each person we encounter, just as she was.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations in her honor to Oklahoma Methodist Manor (4134 E. 31st St. Tulsa, OK 74135 - www.ommtulsa.org) or the music department at Trinity Episcopal Church (501 S. Cincinnati Tulsa, OK 74103- www.trinitytulsa.org)
