Obituary of Ross Allen Hawkins

ROSS ALLEN HAWKINS passed away April 22, 2015, at the age of 32. Ross was born March 30, 1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the youngest son of Charles Quantrell Hawkins and Shirley Satterfield Janco Hawkins, both of Tulsa. He is survived by his parents; his daughter Roslyn Ayvonne Hawkins of Fort Benton, Montana; brother Steven Harris Janco and his wife, Sara, and their daughter, Abigail of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother Jay Robert Janco and his wife, Paige, and their sons Luke and Jack Janco of Roswell, Georgia; and brother David Nathan Janco and his wife, Mia, of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents David Arthur Roach and his wife, Annetta Ayvonne Allen Hawkins Roach of Tulsa; Robert Samuel Satterfield and his wife, Evelyn Juanita “Nene” Wilkerson Satterfield of Tulsa; and Nathan Janco and his wife, Agnes Harris Janco of Tulsa. Ross graduated from Thomas Alva Edison High School in Tulsa where he played football and tennis and was a Tulsa Opera Squire. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Health Sciences and Business Management from Oklahoma State University. Ross was an Aerobics Instructor and Personal Trainer, a Senior Fitness Instructor, a Sports Nutritionist and an Assistant Manager with LABOR READY. An avid body builder, Ross competed in the Mister Oklahoma and Mister Montana Body Building Championships. Ross loved to travel and visited many European countries. Ross was deeply religious and blessed with a loving and cheerful personality, superior verbal and written communication skills, and sales and employee relations. Ross was a member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church and Guts Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A private family memorial service presided by Reverend David Wiggs was held in his memory at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ross will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
