Obituary of James "Jim" Douglas Boyd
Please share a memory of James "Jim" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Douglas Boyd was born on February 22, 1948 in Van Alstyne, TX to William and Dorotha Boyd. James went to our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the age of 67.
Jim always tried to live life to its fullest. He loved the dance business and the adventure of being able to travel all over the world. He visited places that most people only get to experience from a book. Whether he was riding a camel in Egypt, standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower or visiting the Colosseum in Rome, he savored the moment and could not wait to tell everyone about it after returning home. He even found excitement in being hijacked on a trip to Tokyo once. Jim never met a stranger and he loved to share his stories with anyone that would listen. If you were his friend it was for life, he treasured those friendships. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching the Texas Rangers, but his biggest passion was being a life-long Dallas Cowboy Fan. He would never allow anyone to say something negative about them. He wouldn’t even answer the phone or the doorbell during a game so as not to miss a second of the game. He was preceded in death by his parents. His greatest love was his wife, Tammara, son, Shaun, daughter, Ashley, granddaughter Kylie, grandsons, Caden and Cohen and he is also survived by his sister, Cheryl and niece, Dawn Patterson. Although he may no longer be with us physically, he will forever be in our hearts. With sincere gratitude we would like to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers.
