Obituary of Vera Bernice Winston

Vera Younger Winston, 106 passed away July 24, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born February 6, 1909 in Easton, Missouri. She graduated from Easton High School and attended St. Joseph Business College and Kansas City Junior College. She was employed by Skelly Oil Company in Kansas City and was transferred to Tulsa in 1962, retiring in 1973. She married Forrest Winston in 1973 and they enjoyed traveling extensively. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Tulsa where she served as a Deaconess and was a member of the Friendship Galilean Sunday School Class. She enjoyed cooking , traveling and music. Preceded in death by her husband Forrest, her parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday July 31, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at University Village, 8555 S. Lewis Ave. where she has lived for over 30 years. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri.
