Obituary of Randy Bill Van Deusen

To know Randy was to love him. Randy Bill Van Deusen was the son of Bill & Lila Van Deusen born on April 18, 1951 and passed from this life on Oct 1, 2015. Randy was born in Fairfax, Oklahoma. When he was 6 years old the family moved & made their new home in Tulsa. Randy, or Ran, as his family called him, attended Orville Wright Junior High and then Thomas Edison High School, were he was the Captain of the football team. Randy was raised right! He was a gentleman always. He had a heart of gold. He was always helping others & would do anything he could to make people happy & smile. His pranks, jokes, humor & laughter are legendary. Just ask anyone who knew him. Randy never met a stranger. Randy was a true cowboy. He loved his cowboy boots, hats, guns, westerns & his horses. Randy always had a horse from the time he was a young boy. Later he began training & showing Arabian Horses. He loved it and was quite the showman. Randy even helped train Wayne Newton's horses. Randy also had a passion for motorcycles. Over the years he has owned many bikes. He loved his Harley-Davidsons & had quite a collection. No Rice was one of his license plate tags once. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Lila and his little brother, Rick. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his sister Alana & her husband, Brian; his son, Quentin & his wife Ismir & their children, Joserina & Tomás; his step-son Gary; his step-daughter, Celia & her son Daniel; his niece Dawn & her husband Jeff & their children, Autumn, Blake, Haydin & Hope; his nephew Scott & his wife Debbie & their daughter Alexis; and many cousins. Randy also leaves his faithful companions, his dog Ranger & horse Kahooch. Randy will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and his funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, all at Ninde Brookside Chapel.
