Bertie and I became friends and 'pew partners' during my attendance at JCPC. As I read her tribute, I was not surprised by the word 'elegant' being used to describe her. Just listening to Bertie talk seemed to make the world a better place. She had such a calming assurance about her . When I think of Heaven, I think of people like Bertie Fulkerson being part of the greeting committee. Oh my, how she loved her family and the children. She will be missed by all of us. What a beautiful Christian example she left to follow.
