Obituary of Lucille Ann Terry

Please share a memory of Lucille to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lucille Ann Terry passed away on November 5, 2015 while visiting family in Houston, TX. Lu Ann was born on August 22, 1936 in Bristow, OK to Woodrow and Beulah Wilson. She graduated from Central High School in 1954. Lu Ann worked for Carl Leonard & Son’s Insurance Company for 25 years. Lu Ann enjoyed spending time with her friends and was involved in bridge clubs, bowling teams, garden clubs, and bunco groups. She was always willing to help out her neighbors and enjoyed welcoming new neighbors into the community. She loved reminiscing about the past and catching up on stories of grandkids with her best friend of over 60 years, Betty Cozort. Their friendship was an important part of her life. Lu Ann’s sister, Virginia, held a special place in her heart. During their children’s younger years, Lu Ann’s family would travel to Fort Worth, TX to stay with Virginia, her husband Jack, and their children. A visit to Six Flags Over Texas was an exciting part of this annual trip and Lu Ann enjoyed the rides as much as the kids! She was very active in the lives of her children. She served as a den mother for her sons’ Cub Scouts den and supported her children at many Girl Scout meetings, baseball games, soccer games, and choir events. She continued in this spirit with her grandchildren and was very active in their activities. If she could not attend an event, she always called to find out how it went. Her family was the most important part of her life, especially her husband Kenneth of 61 years. They were inseparable throughout their life together and supported each other through the highs and lows of 4 children and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Beulah Wilson, and sister, Virginia Doty. Lu Ann is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth of the home; children, Eddy and Dalia Terry of Houston TX, Kevin and Susie Terry of Jenks OK, Susan and Dr. Dan Danner of Broken Arrow OK, Cindy and Brian Wagner of Bixby OK; her grandchildren, Sherri, Sarah, Chantel, Nick, Jonah, Olivia and Max. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday and funeral service 10:00 AM Thursday both at Ninde Brookside Chapel. Interment Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK.
