Obituary of Judy Ann Umholtz
Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judy Ann (Hancock) Umholtz was born March 2, 1949 in Tulsa, OK to James Alexander & Anntionette (Kinard) Hancock and passed from this life on February 7, 2016 in her home surrounded by family at the age of 66.
Always fascinated with telecommunications Judy began working for Southwestern Bell immediately after graduating High School. She retired after a 35 year career with them. She loved playing on the pool leagues, fishing and water skiing. When she was younger she enjoyed dancing and taking trips to Las Vegas. She thoroughly enjoyed life, family and friends. One of her greatest treasures was being a grandmother to her grandchildren who called her Nannie. Anyone who met her, loved her. She was a very strong, caring person but was also a straight-to-the-point type of woman.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Billy T. “Tommy” Umholtz; her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly & Scott Boyd; her brother, James Hancock; her grandchildren, Justin, Cory, Josh & Jake; and her great granddaughter, Aria.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841. S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made in Judy’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 6600 South Yale Avenue, Suite 1310, Tulsa, OK 74136 or the American Heart Association, 2227 E Skelly Drive, Tulsa, OK 74105
