Obituary of Christeline Holt

Christeline (Kosted) Holt passed away peacefully November 17, 2011. She was born November 26, 1919 in Cushing, Oklahoma to parents Christian and Josephine Kosted. She was married to H. Wade Holt for 61 years until his death in April 2011. Chris and Wade were charter members of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tulsa and Chris was a lifelong member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a devoted wife and mother. She and Wade were especially proud of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Chris enjoyed fishing, playing bridge, and cooking family dinners. She is survived by her sons Mark Holt and wife, Jane, and Jim Holt and wife, Rosemary; daughters Helen Blake and friend, Tom Schoenenberger, and Karen Gribbin and husband, Dave; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family thanks the staff of Tulsa Jewish Retirement Center for providing care and support.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2550 East 71st Street, Tulsa, OK 74136, or to a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris' grandchildren, Bryan Blake, Steven Blake, James Holt, Emily Walter, Hillary Holt, Amanda Gribbin, Alex Gribbin, and Jamie Gribbin.
