Obituary of Betsy Low

Betsy Jo McKeel was born May 17, 1960 in Tulsa, OK to William Joe and Betty Lou (Pippenger) McKeel . She was married to her loving husband, Kenneth Low for over thirty years and had three lovely sons: John, Anthony and Robert. She was loved as dear Aunt Bebe by the nephews she adored. Betsy graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School in 1978 and attended Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Betsy and Ken were married July 26, 1982 and lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri before returning to Tulsa in 1993. As Ken's work required multiple moves, Betsy excelled at providing a loving home for her husband and sons. Betsy loved to celebrate holidays, especially Christmas and would often been seen in festive sweaters. Betsy liked to spend her free time doing counted cross stitch, reading and going to local Broadway productions. Her family and friends may remember her most for her selfless care and concern for others regardless of her personal challenges. Betsy passed from this life on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the age of 52. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Scott Low, her mother Betty, and her brother, William Wade McKeel. She is survived by her father, Bill; her husband, Kenneth; her sons, John Kenneth and Robert Foster Low; her sister, Simone Lewis; nephews William and Charley Lewis; and countless other friends and family members. Betsy will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Thursday with interment 9:30 am, both at Memorial Park Cemetery.
