Obituary of Pearl Tumelson

E. Pearl Tumelson was born January 11, 1924 in Eastland, TX to James Evon & Ethel Mae Brunette and passed from this life on June 27, 2016 in Noble, OK surrounded by family at the age of 92.
Pearl was a loving, caring, strong woman of beauty and grace. The matriarch of four generations with a kind soul for all living beings. She loved family and had a passion for music and tripping the light fantastic! She met her loving husband, J. Ralph Tumelson in Muskogee, OK. They have two daughters, Sandy Gray and Beverly Peevyhouse.
They made their home in Tulsa, OK where she was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She helped with the family business as the bookkeeper and was a homeroom mother at the children’s school when they were young, before she started her career outside of the home. She worked for Sipes for over 30 years, in addition to Sears and Walgreens. During retirement, she and Ralph moved from Tulsa to settle into a new home in Noble, OK where they would enjoy the rest of their glory years.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Gray and husband Virgil of Noble, OK and Beverly Peevyhouse of Jenks, OK; four grandchildren, Chanda Evans and her husband Pat of Noble, OK, Michelle Palmer and husband Tink of Bixby, OK, Kyle Kilpatrick and wife Jennifer of Norman, OK and Clayton Peevyhouse and wife Holly of Jenks, OK; 10 great grandchildren, Nicole, Mackenzie, Lakota, Kylar, Logan, Mason, Payton, Eden, Colin, and Rosalyn; step-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Pearl will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. and a graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers family suggests a donation be made to the animal aid or rescue of your choice in Pearl’s memory.
