Obituary of Amber Michelle Hilberling

Amber was born in Joplin, Missouri at Oaks hospital to Michael and Rhonda Bowers Fields. She moved with her parents to Tulsa at three months. While growing up she attended church at Highland Park Christian Church. She went to Skelly Elementary, Verdigris Middle School, Wheaton High School and Jenks High School. While at Skelly she broke the record getting “Student of the Month”. She maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout. She was also active in and excelled in several outside activities, including soccer, volleyball, track, dance and FFA. Amber was a strong believer and loved to attend Lifechurch with her family. She had a large family, including her son: Levi Carter, Parents: Rhonda & Dr Bryan Whitlock of Tulsa, OK and Stacy & Michael Fields of Wheaton, MO, Siblings: Adam Fields and Ariel Fields, half sister Kayla Shoemaker, step sisters: Haylee Whitlock, Corynne Whitlock and Emerey Whitlock, grandparents: Ronald & Gloria Bowers and Judi & Ronnie Williams, Sister-in-law Renee Hancocks and Nephew Leo Knox Fields in Australia, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Amber was passionate about God, friends and family. She loved to read books and watch movies. She was often speaking in movie quotes to the delight and entertainment of her family. She had a keen interest in history. She loved beauty and was always interested in fashion, make-up and hair, especially shoes.. She loved shoes. She was a very talented writer and has authored many eloquent and elaborate poems. She met the love of her young life, Joshua Blaine Hilberling in early 2010. They were wed in June of that year. They soon moved to Fairbanks, Alaska to where Josh was stationed in the Air Force. It was there that they found out they were expecting. They returned to Tulsa where she gave birth to Levi Carter on August 6, 2011. He is a beautiful mix of both his mother and father. She continued her education and was taking classes from Rose State College and maintained her 4.0 GPA. She loved to spend time with her son, Levi. She continued to fight for her innocence every day. She loved deeply. The family was asked for words that they would use to describe Amber, here is a partial list: Spunky, wise, genuine, witty, strong, gorgeous, funny, intelligent, loving, tender, artistic, creative, girly, courageous, dependable, extroverted, strong willed, sympathetic, original, caring, unique, kind, brave, clever, hilarious, open-minded, loyal, well written and spoken… Amber, you are now free. Dance before Jesus. Reunite with your husband. We will be with you again soon, save a place for us. For now, you will be missed. Fly High Amber! A beautiful sister, wife, daughter, mother, granddaughter, friend, cousin, niece... and Angel.
