Obituary of Beulah Mae Engle
Beulah Mae “Cy” Engle, a long time resident of Tulsa, OK died on September 13, 2017 at the age of 90. Beulah was born on Sunday, May 31, 1925 in Holdenville, OK at Uncle Cy and Aunt Lena’s house. Thus the “Cy” she preferred. Her parents were Robert L. “Bob” Webster and Edna C. (Wiggs) Webster and are both predeceased.
She is preceded in death by three half sisters; Ruth Ussery, Lucille Ussery and Juanita Ward; half brother, John Webster; sister, Elizabeth Webster who died in infancy; nieces, Mabel Jean Boswell and Dixie Reall; her husbands, Barney C. French, Don J. Robinson, Harold “Harry” Watson and A.H. “Harry” Engle, Jr. Cy had no children. She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Lee McMichael of Clovis, CA; nieces, Dorothy Volgmanr and husband Gene of Walla Walla, PA, Peggy Neill of Wewoka, OK, Glenda Jo Sentel of Bartlesville, OK, and Karen Packard of Seattle, WA; her nephews; Jim Webster and friend Cheryl Schudel of San Francisco, CA, Don McMichael and Dave McMichael both of Fresno, CA. Cousin Lin Wiggs had a special place in Cy’s heart and his friend Donna brought Cy cookies.
As a child Cy lived on a farm at Gun Springs southeast of Holdenville and attended a two room school. In the primary room she was double promoted and graduated from High School at Calvin, OK at the age of 16 with honors. T.H. Wiggs, grandfather of Beulah Mae, came to Holdenville, OK in 1907. He greatly influenced her life. He was a Church of Christ minister. Cy worked at Brown Dunkin, Seidenbachs, Pioneer Oil and Vernon West. She has been a member of the Church of Christ since a teenager and Credit Women International for years. Of special interest to Cy was her membership in Chatty Chicks Chapter of the Red Hat Society.

Cy will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. and her funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday all at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, OK.
