Obituary of A. Charlene Estira

Anna Charlene (Sharp) Estira was born November 18, 1930 in Shawnee, OK to Charles E. Sharp and Anna Clarice (Benton) Sharp and passed from this life September 26, 2017 in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 86.

A graduate of the first class of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Charlene held many jobs when she was young; among them she was a clerk for a local drugstore, a bookkeeper for a car lot which evolved into her becoming an accountant for the Otasco stores.  She would work for them for the next twenty years until her retirement.  However, her favorite job was being mother to her only child who was the light of her life.  She served as a den mother for his Boy Scout troop and supported him throughout his life.  Charlene loved to sing and dance.  She was a member of Sheridan Road Baptist Church.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Simeon A. Estira; her son, Ted S. Estira; and her sisters, Faye Stephenson, Muriel Morgan, Opal Hunter and Thelma Grafman.  She is survived by her grandchildren, Theresa Estira and husband Steve, Tonja and Ted Estira and his wife Tiffany; 6 great grandchildren; and 4 great, great grandchildren.

Charlene will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and her funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, all at Ninde Brookside Chapel.  She will be laid to rest noon Tuesday at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
