Laura and I raised our sons "R. J." and Jason at the same time & helped each other out with child care and carpools to their soccer games when we were both working on our respective Master's degrees then in the 1980's. We would watch each other's child on the nights when we had classes, and it was a big help and blessing to each of us. Laura was very kind, smart, graceful, humble, and hardworking, and I really appreciated her tremendous help during that busy period of our lives. Juggling being a mother, wife, graduate student, friend & neighbor at the same time was hectic for us both, but we had each other to lean on. I, too, also attended the Methodist church and still do, and Laura and I shared the same faith as well as a desire to have professional careers of our own someday. We lost touch as the many years and decades flew by, but I was very sad to hear of her passing, I will always be thankful for our special friendship during those child-rearing years and will forever remember Laura as a tremendous lady of compassion and conviction. God bless her sweet soul.

Laura was on my wing at ORU for three years. She was a wonderful person with a great faith and although we didn't stay in touch after graduating, I many times thought of her and prayed for her ministry throughout the years. May you all know the peace that passes understanding when you begin to miss her and know that she is rejoicing in the Father's presence.

Dear Dubie Family, So very sorry and shocked to hear of Rev. Laura Wolfe Dubies passing. .Her story a miracle. She was always such a joy when she greeted you and so pleasant. I always looked forward to seeing her Sunday mornings. May she rest in peace as she is with the Lord Jesus in Heaven.

To Laura's beautiful family,
I have many memories of Pastor Laura, but the following three stand out in my heart the most. The first is her guidance to my husband and me before she married us in 1991. The second was her pastoral care to her close friend and my mother, Pam McNeal, in the last weeks of my mother's life. She cared for her and prayed with and for her in my mother's last days on earth. She helped us all in our hours of grief and sadness even while she was grieving as well. She then officiated the funeral with love and compassion. Laura was a beautiful soul filled with love for others. We will miss her, but we look forward to seeing her again.
May God's love surround you and assure you that she is in the arms of Jesus.
Love,
Angela and Xavier Almeyda

Laura was very special and one of a kind. She was very easy to work with at Rose Hill United Methodist Church where Pam and I worked with her to select just the right music to go with her message. She has been through a lot
over the years with good times and bad, but she never lost her faith in Christ Jesus. She will be greatly missed by one and all but her memory lives on. I'm sure by this time Pam and her have gotten together to take in all of Heaven.
I envy them both as I too, want to be there. One fine day we will all be together again in Heaven.
