John was truly kind. Though we only saw each other occasionally due to mutual friends, he treated me like the oldest of pals. His caring spirit and honest goodness would make my day by chance from time to time. I will truly miss those encounters sir.

John Regur was a team player and a great leader! When I was in charge of the nationwide expansion, John helped me open the Oklahoma City market as our Branch Manager for Gateway Mortgage Group LLC that was located in the 50 Penn Place Building. John was always upbeat and had a great sense of humor. You will be missed John but not forgotten! Dane Basham

My Dear John Sr and Lillian-Darcie was kind to send me a email today about John Jr's sudden passing. I am sure no one is shaken like you two and the rest of the Family. I also am sad because John Jr was so young. It just seems like yesterday seeing that little Boy with glasses diligently working on his homework. You know how those Catholic schools are about demanding studies. It seems like many years since I spoke to all of you. It saddens me that I made no effort to contact you. Lillian, you and Betty Ann had great Parents, and certainly Grand Parents. They all were so cool in my book. I am sure I know where John Jr is, he is resting with God, and when the Trumpets sound, Christ will come again, all the true believer's will arise from the grave, and we all shall know and see each other again. I too will be looking forward to that point in time after I am gone also. Be sure and let John Jr know his beloved Football Sooners got lucky again against my OSU Pokes, 48-47. Fans there sure got their money's worth in that shoot out. Comforting Love from a old, old Friend. Much Love-Barry L Baker Sr

Well I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head, that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
So I had one more for dessert
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day
I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and the songs I'd been pickin'
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playin' with a can that he was kicking
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone's fryin' chicken
And Lord, it took me back to somethin'
That I'd lost somewhere, somehow along the way
On a Sunday morning sidewalk
I'm wishing Lord that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone
And there's nothin' short of dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down
In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughin' little girl that he was swingin'
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singin'
Then I headed down the street
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringin'
And it echoed through the canyon
Like the disappearin' dreams of yesterday
On a Sunday morning sidewalk
I'm wishing Lord that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone
And there's nothin' short of dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of a sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down

There is no death. I have only slipped through a veil and will be watching over you until we meet again. Smile and remember how we laughed and loved. We will meet again.
