Obituary of Gloria Jean Winn

Winn, Gloria Jean was born November 27, 1928 in Muskogee, OK to Howard and Leona (Rawlind) Craig.  She passed from this life Monday, November 19, 2018 at the age of 89.

Gloria met Joe Winn in an accounting class at the University of Tulsa in 1958.  They soon married and Gloria worked as a secretary for several local oil companies before leaving Beacon Petroleum to become a fulltime homemaker.  She and Joe were married for 57 years.

Gloria was proud to be 3/8 Cherokee Indian and enjoyed researching her tribal heritage.  She was an active crafter and an excellent artist.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Joe N. Winn; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Fred Lewis of Watts, OK; her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Tammy Winn of Tulsa; and her grandchildren, Nathan Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Ruth Guinn & Erick Winn.

The family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.  A graveside service is set for 2:00 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.  In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in Gloria’s memory to Tulsa Animal Welfare, 3031 No. Erie Ave., Tulsa, OK 74115.
