After graduation from Flat River High School, Pansy went to nursing school and completed her degree from St. Louis City Hospital.  She promptly entered the Army Nurse Corp during World War II, working for a plastic surgeon at O’Reilly Hospital in Springfield, MO.  She continued working as a nurse until her retirement in 1982.

Preceded in death by her parents, siblings and daughter-in-law, Pansy is survived by her daughter, Sue; her son, David; her 2 grandchildren, Tim, wife Crystal, and Amy; and her 5 great grandchildren, Lani, Mitchell, Savannah, Paisley, and Macee, husband Johny, and great great grandchild, Flora Jo.

After retirement, Pansy volunteered in many capacities and loved working at the voting polls.  She enjoyed vacationing to scenic places within the U.S., fulfilling her need for exploration.  She also loved Life Senior Services where she exercised, learned yoga, tai chi and line dancing, through her 90’s.
