Curtis Rex Kenslow was born October 27, 1930, in Sand Springs, OK. Rex is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christia J. Kenslow. Rex was the son of Curtis Allen Kenslow and Gertrude Viola Kenslow. He was the brother of Anna Jean McCleary, Dorothy Dean Troxill, Edna May Beattle, and Othal Marie Kenslow.
Rex grew up on the Sand Springs line in a family with a history rooted in the automobile industry. Rex graduated from Central High School in 1950.
After marrying Shirley Ray Alexander in 1950, Rex and Shirley had three children: Rodney Curtis Kenslow (deceased), Karen Kenslow Frates, and Vickie Kenslow Ford.
In April of 1968, Rex married Christia at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK. Christia’s childrens include Connee Beaver, Fred Butler, Leslie Phillips and John Butler.
Rex and Christia’s family includes 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren with one great-great grandchild.
Rex spent his entire career in the automobile industry. He was especially proud of being a General Motors Dealer - Rex Kenslow Buick, Oldsmobile in Ponca City, OK, but his greatest achievement was his family, who he loved dearly.
A memorial service celebrating Rex’s life is pending.
