Please share a memory of Theda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Theda Jean "TJ" Houston was born on August 6, 1938 in Tulsa, OK to Cyrus and Regina (Steffens) Dotson. She passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the age of 74. TJ was a graduate of East Central High School. After graduation, she worked as a page at First National Bank of Tulsa and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tulsa, where she met Sam, her loving husband of 48 years. She then decided to devote her life to being a supportive wife and loving mother/grandmother. TJ had a passion for music and loved playing the piano for others. She enjoyed good food and keeping connected with friends and family. Although over the past 6 years she endured many health issues and severe pain, she never failed to put others first and was always more concerned with others' well-being. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard "Sam" Houston, of Owasso, OK; 2 daughters, Missy Lansdowne, of Owasso, OK and Debbie Houston, of Edmond, OK, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Theda Jean's loving heart and warm smile will be greatly missed by all, but her family in Heaven are now rejoicing. The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Sunday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.
