I was privileged to have met Coach. Never a bigger booster to Oklahoma State, or a finer man. RIP.

Not enough space for all my wonderful memories of Eddy. But one was really cool. I was sitting with Eddie at one of his golf outings when we were talking about his soon to be daughter in law. I asked him if he new anything about her father. He said , not a lot but seems to be a nice fellow. I said Eddy, he was King Days at Central in 1957. You should have seen him light up. He must be a stud. That’s the highest honor a student can receive. I’m referring to my old friend & classmate, Jim Sisler, Kim Sutton’s father. Eddie new the importance of the honor since he spent seven years at Tulsa Central High School. He changed the basketball program to be one of the best in the state. How many Hall of Fame coaches spent their first seven years coaching & teaching high school kids. Eddie did it THE RIGHT WAY.
