Wanda Lee (Minshall) Edmiston went to be with the Lord September 7, 2020 at the age of 96. She was born November 17, 1923 to Raymond & Gertrude Ilene (Stacy) Minshall in Montgomery City, MO and lived in Tulsa, OK.
A member of SpiritLife Church (formerly known as Evangelistic Temple) for many years she served faithfully and was a vital part of its membership; especially in their Storehouse, a community outreach. Her and husband, Alvin “Al” L. Edmiston, Jr. established and operated Edmiston Excavating Service until his retirement in 1989.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Jack Edmiston and Billy Edmiston; and her sister and brother-in-law, Norma & Norbert Soerries. She is survived by her daughter-in-law and her husband, Sally & Dan Wallace; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ilene (Edmiston) Melton and William Russell “Rusty” Edmiston and their spouses, Robert Melton II and Amy Edmiston; and her great grandchildren, Trey & Breanne Melton and Hayes & Everly Edmiston.
Wanda will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10 at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. and a graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to SpiritLife Church Storehouse, 5345 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK 74105.
