Obituary of Patsy Jo Magrin

Please share a memory of Patsy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patsy Jo Magrin was born October 1, 1933, delivered by her father in the family’s horse drawn wagon near Abilene, Texas. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma, growing up in a two-room house with no running water, on a farm outside Durant. Unlike her older brothers and sisters who went to Indian boarding schools, Patsy stayed at home and attended Lone Oak school, a little two room school that had all the lower grades. There she met her future husband, Doyle Thomas. They had two beautiful daughters, Ann and Rosa, the joys of Patsy’s life. Patsy later married Paul Fisher and they were happily married until Paul’s sudden passing. Patsy then married Moritz Magrin. They were married for 17 years. They moved to University Village where Patsy lovingly cared for Moritz until his death last year. The youngest of ten children, Patsy is preceded in death by all of her siblings and their spouses. Patsy is survived by, her daughter Ann Wright, her husband Jerry and their daughter Leslie, and her daughter Rosa Stamile, her husband Peter and their children Tessa, Zachary and his wife Jen, Elliott and his wife Amy, and Susanna and her husband Kyle Beam, and their children Vivienne and Erik. Even through life’s ups and downs, Patsy stayed positive throughout. She was kind, compassionate, forgiving, had a good sense of humor, and usually had a smile on her face. She loved being outdoors, loved flowers and often went to the rose garden in Tulsa to see the beautiful flowers and feed the squirrels. She was a devout Christian, a woman of great faith, and is now in her home in heaven. We love her and will miss her, even her teasing question, “is the coffee ready yet?” A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
