Please share a memory of Victoria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Victoria Sophia (Rendoff) Lopp was born July 28, 1928 in Toledo, OH to Philip S. Rendoff and Gladys (Noblit) Rendoff and passed peacefully from this life on January 22, 2021 at the age of 92.
Victoria graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, OH with a Bachelor of Science in 1949 and Ohio State University with a Master of Science in 1956. She married John William Lopp at First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 13th, 1959. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary just a few months prior to John’s passing in 2017. Victoria was a chemist for Jersey Production Research for 8 years and for Dow Chemical Company for 18 years. She and John were longtime members of John Calvin Presbyterian Church and her faith carried her throughout life. While at John Calvin Victoria was a long time member of the choir. Her hobbies included reading, playing the organ, and traveling. She also loved trivia and solving puzzles. Victoria and John did not have children of their own but loved spending quality time with their families. Christmas was her favorite holiday where she loved singing Christmas carols with the family. She rarely missed a family event including birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, cookouts, and picnics. In 2015 after living together in the same house for 56 years (they bought it new in 1959) she and John moved to Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home where she was well cared for with love, dignity, and respect. Her beautiful singing voice and soft spoken manner will be greatly missed.
Victoria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John William Lopp; and her brother, Richard Rendoff. She is survived by her nephews, Guy Rendoff, Ray Rendoff, Thomas Golliver and Robert Golliver; and her nieces, Cindy Meggs and Brenda Warren.
Victoria will lie in state from 10-5 p.m. Wednesday, January 27 at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 3-5 p.m. A graveside service officiated by Reverend Leigh S. McCaslin III will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Saint Simeon’s Foundation, 3701 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Tulsa, OK 74106.
