Obituary of Georgia Wilma Hill

Georgia Wilma (Stansbury) Hill was born January 4, 1929 in Enid, OK to Harry Nelson Stansbury and Norma Wilhelmina (Rausch) Stansbury and passed from this life on January 23, 2021 at the age of 92. Georgia’s hobbies included sewing, quilting, reading and ceramics. Her passions were spending time with her family. She has held a life long interest in serving the Veterans of Foreign Wars since she was 16 and has been a member for 76 years. She has held National Appointed Offices and State Offices including Ladies Auxiliary State President in 1989. She has served as District and Auxiliary Treasure for many years. Georgia was also a member of the Military Order of the Cooties Auxiliary. Georgia has held many accounting and clerical positions and has sold real estate while raising 3 boys. She loved to travel. Branson and Alaska were among her favorites. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her son and his wife, Steven and Kathy Hill; her brother, Harry N. Stansbury, Jr.; and her sisters, Alma Hughes and Norma Ramsey. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Howard and Charlie Hill and Michael and Shirley Hill; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff & Paige Hill, Kristi and Justin Fuller, Justin Hill, Jason Hill, Joe Hill, and Kevin Hill. She has many precious great grandchildren. Georgia will lie in state from 10-8 p.m. Thursday, January 28 at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
