Betty Jane (Keller) Hickman was born October 18, 1935 in Broken Arrow, OK to Willie Alvis Keller & Stella Mae (Dodson) Keller and passed from this life surrounded by family on October 14, 2021 at the age of 85.
Betty had 2 favorite places one was the den her husband built in their home the second was her place at the lake. She loved the lake life. She loved the whole camping experience roughing it in her trailer home with the air conditioning and her covered front porch; she was family oriented and content with a crowd or simply being by herself.
She was a longtime member of Hope Community Church and a dedicated follower of the Lord Jesus. She volunteered to work the summer camps and vacation bible school until her health started failing and she lost her mobility.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Rusty” Hickman; her sons, Stanley Williams, Lester Williams and Jimmy Williams; her sisters, Mary Jane Cassidy and Jeanie Webb; and her brother, J.W. Keller. She is survived by, her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & Mark Edwards; 12 grandchildren; Misty and Andrea Bedford, Melissa Escobedo and Jamie Escobedo Ashlee Metcalfe and her husband Albert, Tommy Young Cody Young, Terry Williams, Rusty Adam, Matthew Escobedo, Joshua Edwards and Connor and Derrick Williams 17 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; four nephews and three nieces and she loved each and every one.
Betty will lie in state Tuesday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and her funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home and Chapel. Pastor Ben Langley will officiate the service.
