Joan Roat went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 1, 2021. She was born in Ridgway, PA on February 23, 1930 to Charles Holcombe and Cecylle (Anderson) Holcombe. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was married to Donald Roat for 33 years until his passing. Together they enjoyed camping, traveling and loved to square dance.

Joan grew up in Chester, PA and graduated with honors from Drexel University. As a young mother, she lived in Pennsylvania and California before permanently settling in Oklahoma in 1968. She loved oil painting, painting mostly landscapes and seascapes and saw the Hand of God in everything she painted. She visited all 50 states and traveled to 28 countries. She worked at Oral Roberts University for 4 years and was a caregiver to the disabled for 28 years. She is survived by her children Stephen and Rebecca Ashbridge; Susan Ashbridge; Brian and Christie Ashbridge, step-son, Donald Roat, II and step-daughter Donna and Jorge Nerio, along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
