Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia Lynn “Pat” Haas was born April 30, 1933 in Stella, Missouri to Harold and Leola Etta (Marrs) Barnett. She passed from this life Friday, December 31, 2021 in Tulsa at the age of 88.
She married Clayton Haas June 20th, 1950 in Tulsa. They were married 55 years before Clayton's passing in July 2005. Pat was a stay-at-home mom until her children, Diane and David were in Jr. High School. She then entered the workforce. She worked for many years as a receptionist for the Zeligson Corporation before her retirement.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clayton; daughter, Diane; and grandson, Christopher. She is survived by son, David and his long-time friend and roommate, Lee; granddaughter, Mandy and her husband, Jonathan; great-grandchildren Jackson, Hailey and Austin. Many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own and some very special friends, her best friend, Myrna; also Jon and Angie Bates. As far as she was concerned, they were all family.
She loved her grandkids fiercely and was always there when they needed her. She had amazing strength to deal with the most difficult of situations. When her daughter, Diane was at her sickest, Pat was by her side. The things she did for her were miraculous. When Christopher passed away, her strength got David through it. She was the voice of reason that always guided the family. A true matriarch. She mourned and cried in private.
She was a true “mama bear.” If you cross her family, her wrath would be merciless. A great mom who taught her children proper manners and that all people were equal and loved unconditionally.
Finally, there are few exceptions when it came to her love of animals, especially poodles. They were her “babies” and she spoiled them rotten.
