Gary Alan Phillips was born November 11, 1962 in Tulsa, OK to Lester & Betty Louise (Royal) Phillips and passed from this life on August 21, 2022 at the age of 59. Gary was loved by all that knew him. He was an exceptional friend and had the biggest heart. He loved OU and all sports. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family (Kevin Mitchell aka brother Kev, Veronica and Isaac Wall and their 2 daughters Ember and Libby, Jeremy and Christy Noland and their 2 sons Hunter and Colton, David and Summer and their 3 kids Carter, Warren and Gracie). They all called him Uncle G. Gary worked all his life. A few of the places included Riverlanes Bowling Center, Ford Glass Plant, The University of Tulsa, and then to Sky Fitness which later became Genesis. He enjoyed working and had an excellent work ethic. He made a lot of friends over the years because of his charisma. Gary was the life of the party and he always liked to make people smile and laugh. He had the best smile and would light up the room with it. One of his favorite places to hang out was Crawpappys. There were a lot of friendships made there too. Gary will never be forgotten. He was one of a kind and loved by so many. Gary is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sherry Phillips; and his brother James Phillips. He is survived by his brothers, Anthony Royal, Maurice Phillips, Glenn Phillips, David Phillips and Virgil Phillips; his sister, Sheila Phillips; and friend, Kevin Mitchell. A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27. Ninde Brookside, 918-742-5556, www.ninde.com
