We met “Auntie Mimi”, as my daughter Gigi used to call her, at Atlantico at Tuscany in Delray Beach, Florida. She lived right by the stairs up to our apartment unit and she would always pop her head out to say hi or ask if I needed help. Gigi soon to call her name out everytime we walked up the stairs, always looking for Auntie Mimi. We soon became close and Mimi would come for dinner and we would have long conversations and loud laughter. Gigi loves to dance and Auntie Mimi would often dance with us in our living room. It was always a joy to be in her presence. She was like family to us. She would bring me flowers on Mother’s Day or my birthday. Or chocolates on Valentine’s Day. These small, thoughtful gestures always touched my heart. We were so sad when she moved back to Tulsa. It was never the same here when she moved. Her kind, loving, faith filled spirit will always be cherished and remembered. She touched everyone who met her. We loved her. May she dance in heaven. Love Always, Abby, Harold, and Gigi ♥️

love for ever

Mimi was such a LOVING SPIRIT and LOTS OF FUN, at work and outside of work. When my son was young, Mimi, Linda, Eric, My Son Tyler and Myself, would go rollerblading down Riverside Drive. You could tell who the older and least experienced ones were based on all of the padding that we were wearing. You will be missed. LOVE U

Mimi was always such a joy to be around. We were hired at Southwest Airlines at the same time and during training she kept everyone either laughing - or rolling their eyes!
Cute as a button, full of moxie and had a real sense of style and chíc.
Mimi was gracious and polite and a loving and lovable friend.

I first met Mimi when she came aboard Southwest Airlines and we became friends instantly. We traveled many places together such as France, Spain and Greece. One time she took me to vist her "auntie" Tia Venecia in Santa Domingo. We visited her brother Papeto and Brunilda. They fixed lunch for us and before I knew it, we were all dancing in the living room. The day we left, I walked into Tia's living room and Mimi was setting on Tia's lap being rocked. It was a great time. I will miss you my beautiful friend.

It is with profound sorrow, that I'd hear about her accident and eventually passed away. Even though she was my cousin, we'd met for the first time, about 2 years ago on a wonderful vacation in our native country, the Dom. Rep. We'd had a great time. May God have mercy on her soul and may she rest in peace.

Her obituary was beautifully written. I met Mimi at Faith Church. My wife and I started attending last year. It was probably our second time there when Pastor Kelly asked if anyone had a need that they would like others to pray for to raise their hand. Mimi raised her hand. I laid my hand on her shoulder and started to pray. The presence of God was so strong. I didn't know what we were praying for. I just knew that the Lord was present. He's always present with believers, but we don't always "feel" His presence like that. After service, I approached her and stated how strong the presence of God was with our prayer. She happily smiled and I continued walking to pick up my kids. Now Mimi is in the presence of the Lord always. It's hard to fathom what that kind of joy and love must be like, but it's hers for all eternity.

Mimi was more than a friend to the Carrasco family. We shared many precious moments together starting when she met Jean-Marc in Tahiti when he was living there with my parents. We also share memories of the times when she visited us in France and in California. Mimi and I used to talk-in French-on a regular basis. We particularly enjoyed reminiscing about a trip we took to Yosemite, when one night we decided to walk to see a waterfall. The moon was shining bright. A romantic atmosphere, but we were in high spirits and laughing, and singing the theme song from The Addams Family series!
