Obituary of Geraldine Doyle

Geraldine (Allen) Doyle, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 22, 1938, in Lerose, Kentucky, to Willie and Roberta (Riley) Allen. Geraldine grew up in Hazard, Kentucky.

Geraldine married John Muncy in 1955 in Hazard. They were happily married for 49-1/2 years. Geraldine was a full-time homemaker. She took great pride in a well-kept home. Geraldine loved to read true stories about life in the 1800s. She and John enjoyed camping and involvement in their church activities. They enjoyed retirement and traveling.

After John’s passing, Geraldine married Wayne Doyle and settled in Missouri. They were married for 13 years.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter Melissa (Steve) Struttmann of Skiatook, Oklahoma; grandchildren Bethany Muncy of Tulsa; Titus (Lindsay) of Austin, Texas; Moriah (Christopher) Dupus of Tulsa; Josiah (Kylee) Muncy of Farmington, Missouri; Mackenzie Muncy of Tulsa, Lydia (Spencer) Cox of Tulsa, Abigail (Hillary) Wright of Sapulpa, Reuben Wright of Jenks, and Chloe Wright of Broken Arrow. She is also survived by her sister Ella Faye Cornett of Dayton, Ohio, and brother, Randy Allen of Richmond, Kentucky, two great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. Geraldine was preceded in death by her brother Junior Allen, parents Willie Allen and Roberta Allen, brother Leon Allen, first husband, John Russell Muncy, Sr., granddaughter Olivia Grace Wright, second husband, Wayne Leon Doyle, son John Russell Muncy, Jr., and sister Hinda Lee Carlson.

The family would like to thank the management and staff at Brookdale 71st & Sheridan and Traditions Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness during “Miss Geri’s” residency at Brookdale and especially her final days. The family will have a private memorial service honoring the life of Geraldine Doyle.
