Bob was a wonderful man, father, and friend! I know Bob for 20 years and spent nearly 10 years working with him on the east coast. Bob was with me in 2003 when I found out I was having my first daughter Camryn (which was a surprise). He was the perfect person as he slapped me on the back and told me everything was gonna be ok! I will truly miss my good friend and talking to him to catch up on what is happening in Tulsa. He was surrounded by a wonderful family and always told me about Denise, Jacob, Malorie and his granddaughter Ruby! He will truly be missed and lived an extraordinary life! Love ya Bob! I was blessed to work/play closely with Bob for about 13 years. Like many others, I will miss his work ethic, humor, smile, and dedication to others. I remember some times together where we laghed so hard my sides hurt. Our motto was always "Work Hard, Play Hard!" A great man he will be missed by many.

Bob Piland is one of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure of calling a friend! His smile, wit, and personality were AAA! Karen and I met Bob through our mutual friends, Jeff and John. He is said to have told the brothers he was going to date their sister, Denise. Thank heavens that union did occur! We all enjoyed many fulfilled weekends at the lake, watching Jacob and Mal Pal as children, and enjoying Bob's, Jeff's, and John's culinary creations! We loved and will certainly miss Fat Travis! He still owes me a rematch after beating me on my own shuffleboard table! RIP Bob, tell Big Jeff and Jeffy we also miss them!

His contributions to the Miss Oklahoma Organization impacted so many you ladies over the years. Bob, your legacy will live on for many years to come! Bob was so passionate about serving his community. He always put the needs of others first. I will always remember Bob showing up at Chili on the Green in October of 2022. His body was physically week by this time, but he was still a beacon of light with a great big smile. So many people, so many friends, were all compelled that day to stop whatever they were doing so they could get close enough to give him a hug and a word encouragement. He was so brave and strong. His appearance that day was dignity and grace personified. Bob will always remain alive in the hearts and minds of those for whom invested his selfless service and mentorship. His positive impact will be present for generations to come as we pass along all of the good lessons Bob taught us about a meaningful and fulfilling life. What a great man, father and friend!
