Obituary of Donald Leon Witt

Donald Leon “Donnie” Witt was born June 13, 1939, in Tulsa, OK to James Edward Witt and Cassie Mae (Minix) Witt and passed from this life on September 22, 2023, in Slidell, LA at the age of 84.

Don graduated from Daniel Webster high school in 1957.  He was a Mechanical Engineer at Shell Oil Company for over 20 years.  He loved collecting classic cars, going to the horse races and loved his dogs dearly. He never met a stranger and enjoyed entertaining, ALWAYS had a story to tell and made everyone laugh. His passion was family, friends and living life to the fullest!

Don is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Bobby Dean Witt; and his 13 siblings. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Marty Witt & Jana Halpin; his daughter, Vicki Vance; his daughter and son-in-law, Kerri & Jerry Hincy; and his grandchildren, Wesly Vance, Dylan Oden, Kylan Oden Johnson and Heather Hincy.

A funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
