Obituary of Martha Radcliff

Please share a memory of Martha to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Martha Pauline Radcliff was born on November 9, 1932 in Sand Springs, OK to Ernie Marvin Hartwick, a coal miner, and Ruby Irene (Chastain Atkinson) Hartwick. Pauline passed from this life on July 15, 2013 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 80. Pauline attended McCurtain High School and later easily obtained her GED certificate. She was a founding member of Classen Boulevard Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and, for the last several years, a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Tulsa. She had a strong and abiding faith in God's love and firmly believed that He had a reason and a purpose for everything in life. Pauline loved books and was a lifelong reader, even as a child reading by a kerosene lamp long after she was supposed to be asleep. She enjoyed traveling, and with her late husband, Buddy, covered thousands of miles exploring the country. She loved to be outside and was always ready for an adventure; they spent several summers canoeing. She adored beautiful things and was always ready to go shopping for new clothes. She was an avid gardener, waiting impatiently for spring every year to stock up on new flowers and play in the dirt. She missed her flower gardens terribly when she moved to Tulsa from Oklahoma City, where she had lived for over 40 years. Pauline was loyal and fiercely protective of her friends and family and did not suffer fools gladly. She had a terrific sense of humor, was never shy and made new friends easily. One of her favorite questions was, "Don't you have any imagination?" She was well-loved at Woodland Terrace, her home since 2009, and a regular player at bingo, sequence and dominoes. Her greatest passions in life were her great grandchildren, her grandchildren and her children. The moments she loved the most were spent with them. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Britton "Buddy" Radcliff; three brothers, Derl Gene Hartwick, Charlie Hartwick and Rusty Hartwick, a sister, Sybil Burn, and Curtis Donathan, father of her children. She is survived by her three children; Paula Klaassen and her husband, Ed, of Tulsa, OK, Randy Donathan and his wife, Peggy, of Milford, TX, and Chuck Donathan and his wife, Alethia, of Honolulu, HI; grandchildren, Kyle Prendez, Nicky Donathan, Becky Hawthorne and her husband, Chris, and Krissy Donathan; and great grandchildren, Logan Milbauer, Ayden Hawthorne and Kinsley Hawthorne; her sister, Linda McAlvain and her husband, Harold, and her sister-in-law Fairrell Hartwick, along with a large extended family and many friends. We love you so much, Mom, and we will miss you every single day.
