Obituary of Gayle Gregory

Wanda Gayle (Jones) Gregory was born July 21, 1936, in Lewisville, AR and passed from this life on May 19, 2024, at the age of 87.

 

Gayle had a life of color, beauty and talent.  She served as director for the Miss Tulsa Pageant for 30 years and attended many Oklahoma pageants.  She designed silk flowers for social events, applied her hand in artistic endeavors with her paintings, and worked at the J.C. Penney jewelry counter.  The poise and style Gayle carried wrapped itself around all who met her.  Truly she will be missed.

 

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, N. L. “Greg” Gregory, of 53 years; her sons, Kirk Gregory and Keith Gregory; and her grandson, Jake.  Gayle is survived by her daughter, Kristen Jarvis, her daughter-in-law, Laura Gregory; her brother and sister-in-law, John David & Robin Amerise; her grandchildren, Abbey, Katelyn, Greg, Jeff & Alex; and her great grandchildren, Anna, Taylor, Braxton, Grace, Maggie, Ava & Scarlett.

 

Gayle will lie in state at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home Tuesday, May 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5-7pm.  Her funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at The Bridge Church, 11929 S. Memorial Drive, Bixby, OK.  She will be laid to rest following at Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
