Obituary of Susan Conley

Susan Linette Conley was born February 4, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Francis Arthur Young, Jr. and Joan (Kile) Young. After graduating from Tulsa's Thomas A. Edison High School, her very first job was at the Village Cleaners, a dry cleaning business in Brookside. Later she served the Tulsa Public School District as a member of the administrative staff at Byrd Middle School and Thoreau Demonstration Academy in Tulsa, starting first as a volunteer and then as an employee. She was a very well-liked co-worker and a favorite of teachers, students and parents. On February 14, 1975, she married Tracey Orinovsky, to whom she was married for 30 years. On May 15, 2006, she married Gary A. Conley. Susan was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter Brooke of Tulsa; brother Terry Young and wife Carol of Tulsa; brother Richard Young of Tulsa; sister, Janet Mason and husband Brian of Plano, Texas; granddaughter, Jordan Orinovsky of Tulsa; three nieces and three nephews. Susan had an extraordinary love and compassion for her family, friends and her many (and remarkable variety) of animals. Among the siblings she was the one always working to encourage family members to attend holiday and special events together. She found joy in having family and friends involved in her life. Everyone who knew her best always found her in an upbeat, happy mood with a trademark "Hello" on the telephone and an incredibly infectious laugh. Her love and care of animals had no match. Susan was a gentle, kind and loving human being who was devoted to her family. Her loved ones will have precious memories of her and keep her forever in their hearts.
